Three Ways to Celebrate National Margarita Day

Happy National Margarita Day! While we’re not quite sure why February 22nd was chosen to celebrate the margarita, who can complain about an excuse to enjoy one of our favorite cocktails! We thought we would celebrate today, by sharing with you three of our favorite margarita and margarita-inspired recipes:  spicy pineapple margaritas, margarita cupcakes, margarita pudding shots!

While we love any well-made margarita, spicy margaritas are definitely our favorite version. In our spicy pineapple margarita we infuse the tequila with jalapeno and then swap out the traditional simple syrup with pineapple juice for a great twist on the classic. The end result is a sweet (without being too sweet) fruity margarita with a little bit of heat! If you’re excited about giving it a try, you can find the recipe here.

Number two on our list of favorite margarita recipes are margarita cupcakes! Cupcakes are definitely one of my favorite desserts to make. They are a great canvas to try out all sorts of flavor profiles. Some of my favorite creations have been based off of cocktail recipes, and these margarita cupcakes are definitely no exception.

Last, but definitely not least, on our list on things to make in honor of National Margarita day is our Margarita Pudding shots. These were a crowd-pleaser when we made them last Cinco de Mayo. They even held the title of our mom’s favorite pudding shot for most of last year (until Peppermint Bark Pudding Shots dethroned them over the holidays!).
