What happens when two twenty-something sisters decide to combine their love of travel with one’s love of fashion & the other’s of food? You get The Daily Soirée!

We were born & raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. While Tori still lives in the Philadelphia area, Kate has moved around a few times since graduating from college, but currently lives in Morristown, NJ. Even though we don’t live in the same town anymore, we still make sure we spend time together either shopping, eating out, going out for drinks, or exploring new places.

Meet Kate

I am in my late 20’s and the foodie of the family. My mom’s side of the family is Italian so food was always a big part of our family, but it wasn’t until high school that I really fell in love with all things baking and entertaining. It all started out with making Ice Cream Cakes for family & friends’ birthday parties. Over the years, I have gone through many different phases including cookies on a stick, cupcakes, layer cakes, & french macarons. Other than a Wilton decorating course and a baking class at ICE in NYC, I am completely self taught. I went to school for Chemical Engineering, but luckily was able to merge my love of food and my knack for science and math by getting a job at a major food company (you can probably guess which one based on a recurrence of a certain brand of products ;)). When I’m not baking or throwing parties, I am often found trying out the latest restaurant in town or traveling either for fun or conferences.

Meet Tori

Monday to Friday, you’ll find me wearing nothing other than (kind of awful) hunter green scrubs. But when I’m not at the hospital, I usually rock a mix between preppy, vintage and boho fashion. Rewind to 8 years ago, I was going through a horrible punk phase (I kid you not, short choppy hair and black everything). One bad high school break up later, I’ve focused on only wearing clothes that match my personality, bright, cheerful and a bit adventurous. It’s rare that I’ll ever pay full price for any item. I follow sales, keep tabs on my new favorites and am a regular at local thrift shops. When I’m not at the mall or online shopping, you’ll find me pursuing my passion for photography, practicing my cello, cramming for my next exam or sleeping. Lets be real, I’m probably sleeping. With my senior year of college quickly coming to a close, I’m looking forward to creating the perfect closet, traveling with friends and family and getting my first official job. Fashion to me doesn’t mean having the latest and greatest (and the price that goes with it). Instead, I see fashion as a statement of who you are to the world and I’m out to give the best first impression.
