For the past few years our family’s Labor Day tradition has been to head down to our beach house and enjoy the weekend with some of our aunts, uncles, and cousins. As usual, I’m typically in charge of dessert. Over the years, I have made quite a few things, but our favorites tend to involve strawberries & blueberries for a patriotic twist or apples since apple season is just beginning.

This weekend we were able to have both! I made up a Lemon Berry Triffle and my cousins brought an apple pie which was almost as good as our Mom’s apple pie.

Both made for the perfect end to our delicious barbecue which included hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, baked beans, and potato salad! We hope you’re labor day is as much fun as ours and be sure to let us know what your favorite Labor Day dessert is!
