If you are anything like me, Tequila Rose has always intrigued you with its mysterious black bottle. It took me a while to finally come up with a use to justify buying this strawberry tequila cream liquor, but it was well worth the wait. So what inspired me to finally pick up a bottle? My favorite type of shot of course, pudding shots.
If you haven’t tried pudding shots, they are what I like to consider the high end cousin of jello shots. They are made with cool whip, instant pudding, and alcohol which are then frozen so you end up with a delicious shot that has the consistency of soft serve ice cream. The first pudding shot I ever made with Tequila Rose was a Strawberry Cheesecake Pudding Shot. They’re light and creamy with the perfect touch of strawberry which makes it a great spring or summertime choice.
Whenever I make pudding shots, I always like to make a variety so there is something for everyone. With this in mind, it wasn’t long before I created a second recipe featuring Tequila Rose for all the chocolate lovers out there. My Chocolate Covered Strawberry Pudding Shots give you the great taste of a chocolate covered strawberries without the mess of having to melt chocolate.
