We  are so excited to start a new series with y’all called “Weekly Wrap-Up!” Whenever we have busy and exciting weeks, we are hoping to fill you in on all the fun that happened with this Friday series. On top of that, we will be sharing some stuff we posted to social media and our latest “watchlist” which will include awesome sales to check out, new recipes or restaurants we want to try out, an interesting article we read, pretty much anything that we are excited about and want to share with you! With that said, here is our first “Weekly Wrap-Up”

If you have been following us on twitter or instagram, you probably know that last weekend we were at staying at our shore house in Long Beach Island (LBI), NJ.

On Friday, we checked out Uncle Dood’s Donuts for #NationalDonutDay (check out our review here). They were incredible and we are currently counting down the days until we can snag another box of these amazing donuts!

On Saturday we spent the afternoon at something called “Hop Sauce” a beer and hot sauce festival! Kate went last year and this year did not disappoint. We picked some new hot sauces, spicy jams and cool salsas while at the festival.

We wrapped up our weekend on Sunday with a very special announcement, that we’ll be heading to Montana & Wyoming later this summer for our next adventure. Keep an eye out for #SoireeTakesAHike posts to learn more about what we have planned! The whole week we spent catching up at work and prepping for some fun upcoming projects for the blog! We can’t wait to share them with you!

 

This Week’s Watchlist

Lilly Pulitzer’s “You Gotta Regatta” Makes A Comeback

If you are a fan of Lilly, than you know the fact that they are bringing back the “You Gotta Regatta” print is a big deal. The print was released first at the Madison Ave, NYC location on Wednesday and should be hitting stores and online soon (word on the street is by the 15th, but nothing official yet). The line will include 8 styles. From their snapchat and Instagram, it looks like it’s an elsa top, a shift dress, a tank dress, shorts, a strapless romper, a maxi dress and a popover! If all goes well, I’ll be picking up the popover! Sign up for their mailing list to be the first to hear! P.S. don’t forget to pre-order your agenda while you’re at it!

Boozy Ice Cream Floats

We used to be a bit unsure about mixing alcohol & dairy, but between pudding shots and trying stout milkshakes in Portland earlier this year, we realized there was nothing to worry about. And so when I saw an article about boozy ice cream floats, I was definitely intrigued. I’m most excited to try the Strawberry-Whiskey-Ginger Ale and the Salted Caramel-Rum-Root Beer floats. I love that the article gave a basic formula to follow so you can experiment with different flavors, spirits, & sodas. I can see some boozy float posts in our future!

Travel Bucket Lists

When I’m not dreaming up my next culinary creation, I tend to be daydreaming about my next (or more like next 5) adventures. My wanderlust is so bad, that some days I think it might be easier to make a list of places I don’t want to see than those I do. This week I stumbled across a Top 10 Trips to take in your Lifetime  post by Lost Waldo and all ten places are definitely in the top 25% of my travel list! Since I’ve only knocked two off the list so far, Italy & the Eiffel Tower (which are two of my favorite places of all time), I definitely need to get to work!
